Led by: Nisha Rautela
In this session, participants will explore the art of watercolour still life painting, learning to observe and capture objects with careful attention to detail. The focus is on studying a subject from life—understanding how light and shadows change over time and translating these observations into a painting. The importance of drawing as a foundation before applying colour is emphasised throughout the session.
Participants will also gain an understanding of how watercolours work as a medium. Being transparent and delicate, watercolour requires careful handling, layering, and blending to achieve depth, luminosity, and subtle effects.
