Via Train

​

There are three Trains that come to Kathgodam (The nearest station to Nainital - about 32km Away). From there shared and private Taxis are available and will take about an Hour and fifteen minutes to get to Nainital. The same trains also go back. The most convenient one based on the workshop timings is the Shatabdi.

 

Delhi to Kathgodam

-Kathgodam Shatabdi (12040): Daily, departs 06:20 (NDLS), arrives 11:55 (KGM).

-Uttaranchal Sampark Kranti (15035): Daily, departs 16:00 (NDLS), arrives 22:45 (KGM).
-Ranikhet Express (15013): Daily, departs 20:21 (NDLS), arrives 05:05 (KGM)

 

Kathgodam to Delhi

- NDLS SHATABADI (12039): Departs 15:15, arrives 20:55 (Fastest, daily).
- UTR SMPRK K EXP (15036): Departs 08:40, arrives 15:25 (Daily).
- RANIKHET EXP (15014): Departs 20:35, arrives 05:12 (Next day, daily).

 

 

Via Car

The drive to Nainital takes about 6 hours (300km) from Delhi and the roads are good with plenty of food options on the way. 

 

 

Via Flight

The nearest airport is Bareilly(145km or 3 hour drive).There are direct flights from Bangalore and Mumbai to and from the airport. Taxis are available from there to Nainital.

Via Bus

There are loads of Buses (Volvo, Sleeper, AC/ Non AC) that come from Delhi to Nainital. Most of these start from Kashmiri Gate in Old Delhi and will get you to Haldwani and will then mean a transfer to a taxi that gets you to Nainital.  Most Bus operators will take the booking to Nainital from Delhi and organize the taxi as part of the package so you don't have to worry about that.
