Led by: Kapil Grover This hands-on workshop introduces participants to basic metal fabrication and welding through the creation of a metal flower sculpture made from nuts, rods, and small steel components.
The project combines technical skill + artistic expression, teaching participants how industrial materials can be transformed into sculptural objects. Each participant builds an individual flower mounted on a weighted base.
The workshop focuses on precision tack welding, composition, and finishing, not mass production.
Crafting small metal objects
By the end of the workshop, participants will:
Understand safe welding practices
Learn basic MIG/TIG or arc welding techniques
Assemble small metal components accurately
Explore sculptural balance and form
Grind and clean welds
Apply protective finishing
Take home a finished metal sculpture
